Intensified screening and options when your risk is elevated.

If you have a clearly elevated or hereditary risk, you receive closer care than average. The goal is to detect any possible tumor very early.

With a confirmed change in BRCA1 or BRCA2, intensified screening is often recommended, such as a yearly breast MRI, in some cases as early as age 25, supplemented by a mammogram and a clinical breast exam. Preventive surgery can also be an option, and that is discussed in a very individual way and without pressure.
